This morning I’m contemplating
the way the human being has been
sculpted over time by a kind
of wording.

And how gradually this wording—
this sculpting—fell
closer and closer to Earth,
closer and closer in us.

And how eventually it will
be us who takes up our place
as sculpting speakers…
having already begun
our first utterances.
